elliot had his first piano recital before christmas. he did so well! he didn't even seem nervous. he played about 6 numbers, 4 of which were duets. jeffrey played 2 with him and his teacher played 2 with him. it was a proud moment as a parent. this picture below has a weird angle, but you can see how proud he was of being rewarded for all his hard work. way to go elliot!
our ward had a christmas party along with a talent show. jeffrey played with a trio. i could've listened just to them all night. the young women sang a spoof song called the 12 pains of christmas (i edited it a bit). it was funny and they all had fun. i sure love working with these young women. they help me make my life better.
oh and some more fun news...elliot lost his first tooth before christmas and his second just last week. we are slow to lose teeth so he was pretty excited to
finally lose a tooth. sam's ready now as you can tell... he never likes being left behind.
the kindergarten made gingerbread houses before christmas break. isn't he a doll! he is so proud of his construction.
i've been playing with my hair lately. some of the young women have been teaching me how to do these curls. it's fun. elliot took this picture for me. (don't you love the dishes in the background... just true signs of being a mom)
we started a tradition last year of making and decorating sugar cookies. jeffrey's mom has given us two cool christmas cookie cutter sets. the boys love it! calder had fun too.
since we stayed in indiana this year to have our own christmas we did a nativity by ourselves for the first time. i think the boys had the most fun dressing up and picking out what to use for their costumes. sam's favorite part was playing the angel and standing on the coffee table saying, "fear not, i bring you good tidings of great joy!" so sad i didn't get a picture of that. oh and notice the cute naked babe in the background playing the piano :)
we started another tradition this year and that is getting christmas pajamas on christmas eve. here calder is trying to take his off. it was hilarious. we were laughing so hard.
we hope you all had a wonderful christmas. we didn't do a card this year or an email letter, but i figure if you're reading this you probably know what's going on in our life anyway. have a great new year!!!
