my beautiful calder, nearly 9 months

spring concert

i had to add this pic in. jeffrey has been playing in the community orchestra and it has been so enjoyable to go see him perform. he looks so handsome and distinguished. love you jeffrey.

easter weekend with cousins

scott and kate invited us up to cleveland for easter weekend. we had our annual easter egg hunt and it was a lot of fun. you should have seen the joy on sala's face as she discovered each egg. scott had to follow her around and collect the eggs that were falling out of her bucket because it was overflowing. it was so cute.




calder and milo enjoyed sucking on the plastic easter eggs.


it was so nice to spend some time with them before they moved. it's sad to be the only ones not in the west. we miss you family.

detroit science museum

jeffrey's parents headed to canada to see jeffrey's granddad, but it worked out for them to fly to detroit and then drive up into canada, so we lucked out and got to meet up with them in detroit before they flew back home. we went to the detroit science museum. if you are ever in the area, you should go. it was so much fun. the boys had a blast!

calder's big month

calder turned 7 months this month and what a month it has been. he got his first tooth, he's learned to crawl, he can now sit up by himself, and he has begun eating solid foods. it's been very exciting.

this is a picture of calder before he could crawl forward. he would just kind of scoot backwards until he got stuck somewhere. this is where i found him after i was in the kitchen for a couple minutes. he was as happy as could be despite his predicament.

i've had to move the coffee table which has served as our library books' book shelf because calder just couldn't keep the books out of his mouth. i love this picture because it shows you calder's favorite position. he just hangs out on his side like this while he plays with and chews on toys. he's such a funny kid.


7 months is early for my kids to be crawling. it makes me wonder when this little guy will be walking. we'll wait and see.

visitors

my mom came to visit for about a week. we had such a great time!

my dad joined us for the weekend. i love visitors.

life

i don't really write much anymore on my blog. i'm lucky if i take the time to even upload pictures. i have a lot of thoughts going through my head though...all the time.

right now....

i'm so happy
life is good
as of tomorrow i have spent 10 valentines days with my jeffrey :)
i am quite content with my 3 boys
who would've thought i would have 3 boys!
i am so lucky
God is good
the gospel brings me so much direction and peace in my life
i am grateful for good friends
i love hearing my boys pray
i ache for those who are struggling with life right now
i ache for those who want to have children or are waiting for adoption
i wonder about how things will work out
i look at my boys and wonder who they will be when they grow up
sam's hair makes me happy
elliot told me today that i am beautiful
i love working with the young women and the young women leaders in my church
i am tired....

just a few of the thoughts going through my head.
