what goes on in elliot's mind?

today will be short. jeffrey and i just wanted to share a little song that elliot sang to us on the way home from the store. don't read into it though, he is by the way only 3. it went something like this. "i am a little girl . . . named jesus . . . who's a prophet . . . that leads us and guides us." jeffrey and i couldn't stop laughing to ourselves. what an imagination. i guess he kind of blends everything in together. we'll have to make sure we straighten all that information out as he gets older.

he is also in this new phase of telling us that we have new names. the other day he was eli, i was trina, and jeffrey was nicholas. he is always singing these songs that don't make any sense but that make you realize he does catch every word you say, just maybe not the meanings. he also loves dressing up, especially into his cowboy attire. he is such a goof. we love him so much.

last note. tonight we got home late and i was doing some dishes before i put elliot to bed. he came running in from his room and said "mommy, mommy i got the room for bedtime." i wasn't quite sure what he meant, so i followed him into his room. he had turned on his lamp and turned off the ceiling light. you could just see him glowing, he was so proud of himself. he really is growing up. i love you elliot.
