just look at that grin. elliot was smiles all the way to preschool. he had no trouble starting school. we are a week and a half into it and he is still excited to go. he loves having his own pencil box full of crayons, markers, glue sticks, and scissors, especially with his name on all of them. he tells me he feels bigger. we're working on him learning the names of his classmates. he has two teachers and he's got their names down. it was so fun to go school shopping for my him. i've never done it before. i learned what a marble notebook is and i also learned that if you try to go shopping the week school starts, target is going to be out of everything!!! it worked out though. we got everything he needed and he's set! 5 days a week. i've gotten things done, run errands, read my book, watched a little monk, and had some peace and quiet. it's a little hard to get sammy in and out of the car 8 times a day, but it's worth it! i love you elliot! it's so fun to see you grow up!

That'll be us soon...tisha's moving at the end of the month. Sad to see her go, but excited for preschool.

Your post reminds me of a scene out of the movie You've Got Mail where they talk about how much they love NY in the fall and something about a bouquet of sharpened pencils. I do love NY in the fall. Since this will be your first fall, prepare to be amazed! We had a super wet summer and they say that the wetter the summer, the more beautiful the fall.
