summer fun

the 4th of july was such a good day. we have these great friends who live around the corner and we spent the day with them. the boys played in the water, we had a cookout, there was air hockey, delicious dessert, and plenty of fun fireworks. i'm sad we didn't get many good pictures that day, but here is one i like of the boys.

we went to our first tin caps game of the year! it was a lot of fun. jeffrey's work does a work party there each year, so they provided dinner and elliot and sam both got a tin caps hat. we also saw a girl get hit on the head by a baseball. ouch. after the game the boys got to run the bases. it was cool.

calder enjoyed the night too.

blogger is being dumb and it won't let me move these pics around, so the next 3 are backwards. first we went to cindy's diner for breakfast (ordered some delicious "garbage"), then to the parade (sorry fort wayne, ever since we went to the macey's day parade in nyc, nothing can come close), then we sat by the fountain to cool off. the boys ended up dunking their heads in since they weren't allowed to actually get in the water. one thing we love about living in fort wayne is all the festivals they have here. the boys love it and always look forward to having these family day outings.

we went to kidfest with our good friends and the kids got their fill of candy, stickers, and other stuff. the heat was almost unbearable this day, but we still had a good time. we can't wait for this terrible heat to pass.

calder is loving the swing! he was out there one evening in the swing for over half an hour. the boys had a blast pushing him back and forth. good thing he was strapped in.

calder had some pretty good fangs for a while there. his middle top teeth have now grown in and he has 7 teeth now. wow. he's getting so big.

i just love this one. he's so precious.

the boys are loving soccer this summer with their buddies adriano and dominic. here's a good shot of sam.

we hit up the riverfest and the kids had a great time with all the fun games they have along with the candy prizes. we couldn't pass up climbing up on these big farming machines.
