more visitors!!

i don't know why we are so lucky, but we got to have more family come visit! my sister, laura, and her son, spencer, came from utah for about a week. we had so much fun!

the day after they got here we took a quick trip up to hartford, connecticut to meet my brother who was coming down from boston. hartford is the halfway point. eric brought lily along. she is so adorable! sarah was out of town with will so eric was mr. mom for the weekend. he is such a great dad!

thanks to my friend natalie (thank you natalie!) we ate at a place called harry's. seriously it was some of the best pizza i have ever had. so if your ever in west hartford, check it out!





earlier that day we took a little jaunt up to a battlefield sight while elliot was at school. it was pretty cool and the weather was gorgeous so it felt great to be out walking around.


we were lucky enough to have my friend ashley and her husband come down from boston to spend the weekend with us too. ashley is also laura's sister-in-law. that is actually how we met and became friends. they joined us in the city the next day. it was supposed to rain, but it turned out to be gorgeous. it was so much fun to show laura and spencer around nyc. they were so eager and excited, and at the same time so easy going and helpful with the boys. it made for a fantastic day! we went for about 13 hours. we were exhausted to say the least, but it was so worth it.








laura and spencer then took on nyc by themselves. i dropped them off at the train station tuesday morning and they rode down to new jersey, switched trains, rode into nyc, and navigated themselves through the city all day. they checked out central park, went ice skating at rockefeller center, and took a tour of the intrepid. we picked them up about 4 and had the opportunity to go to the manhattan temple. it was a wonderful experience. it was hard though, knowing that our time was running out.

here i said goodbye to them as they carried their bags and headed to the plane. oh, did i mention how handsome he is and how gorgeous she is? well, they are!!

thank you so much for coming laura and spencer. what wonderful memories we will have for a lifetime. thank you for making the effort to come and being so excited. thank you for loving my boys so much. sammy already cried for "waura". we will miss you, but we are excited to see you in june!

. . . my sister is getting married!!!

becky and brian will be getting married in june in the salt lake temple in utah. i couldn't be more excited. she is the best and he is awesome.
